William "Bill" J. Ostrom
William "Bill" J. Ostrom, 75, died March 5, 2014 at The Village at St. Edward in Fairlawn.
A Lakewood resident most of his life, he served in the U.S. Coast Guard. A former member of St. James Catholic Church in Lakewood, he had been an active member of Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He retired from CARQUEST Auto Parts.
He is survived by his wife, Frances (nee Murr); children, Donna, David (Cathy Hattori), Carolyn and Phillip (Holly Moss) Ostrom; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
A Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. TUESDAY at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 1905 Portage Trail, Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44223. Private inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Ostrom Family Scholarship Fund at St. Edward High School, 13500 Detroit Ave., Lakewood, OH 44107; St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 ( [email protected] ) or the Chapel Fund at The Village at St. Edward, 3131 Smith Rd., Fairlawn, OH 44333.
