William J. Ryan (Bill) passed away peacefully on January 31, 2017.
Bill was a Navy veteran and served as an officer on the USS Midway during WWII. He met his future wife, Betty Lois (Brownie) while home on leave and they were happily married for 45 years. He began his career at Cleveland Crane, a subsidiary of McNeil Corporation, where he eventually became Executive Vice President. He ended his career as President of FE Myers Company, another subsidiary of McNeil.
Bill was first and foremost a family man, and was devoted to his wife, children, grandchildren and extended family. For Bill, it was always family first. His other great love was the game of golf, and he had the privilege of playing some of the finest courses in the country. Locally, he was a founding member of Sharon Golf Club in Sharon Center, Ohio. He was also the longest living member of that club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen and Bill Ryan and his wife Brownie. After Brownie's passing he was married to Lois Warren who also preceded him in death. He is survived by his partner of many years, Shirley Stamp; his children, Michael Ryan, Melodie Rose and Maureen Ryan; his brother, Robert Ryan; his sisters, Gloria Stadvec and DeeDee Musselman, and many loving family members and friends.
