Preceded in death by his wife Jacquelyn, parents John and Edith, brothers David (Catherine), John (Bobbie) and son-in-law Vance Edwards. Bill was in the automotive business, co-owning three service stations over a nearly 40 year span. He had a specialty of rebuilding carburetors and trouble-shooting engines, even to the point of diagnosing for other service station owners. Upon retirement, he took to growing tomato plants, starting in early spring, he planted seeds in his basement, carefully tending to each plant. He was proud of these plants which often grew to nearly 6 ft. tall in his garden. He also loved to give the tomatoes to friends and neighbors. Bill’s most accomplished project was his “Quarter Boards”. He used state quarters and placed them on an oak board behind glass for displaying on a wall. He gave these as gifts to family, friends and others he knew would enjoy them. We would like to give special thanks to neighbor’s Patty, Ron and Eric for all of their help over the years.
There will be no calling hours. Cremation has taken place. A private graveside service will be held at a later time.
