William E. White, III, 45, passed away unexpectedly on May 9, 2010.
He was born in Washington D.C. on March 9, 1965, and grew up in Silver Lake, Ohio. He graduated from Walsh Jesuit High School and earned his B.S. from Miami University. He later attained an MBA from National University in San Diego, Calif. Bill served in the U.S. Navy for seven years, as a lieutenant on the U.S.S. Constellation and as an instructor at Surface Warfare Officer School in Coronado, Calif. Following his naval service, he established a successful career in marketing and financial services.
Bill was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann White. He will be lovingly missed by his daughters, Stephanie and Megan, and their mother, Cindy, all of Akron. He is also survived by his father, William E. White Linda, and his sister, Susan Bowers Tim, of Silver Lake.
Bill loved to travel, often taking his family on vacations. His favorites were Disney vacations, especially cruises. He enjoyed playing video games with his daughters and taking them on hikes with his dog, Buddy. Bill was a man who deeply loved his family, especially his children.
Calling hours will be held Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with funeral services at 9 a.m. Friday. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of your choice.
