Dr. Winston E. Kirkland, 76, of Silver Lake was called to Heaven Tuesday, June 19, 2018 after a courageous battle with cancer.
Winston dedicated his life to caring for his family. He worked as a chaplain at Western Reserve Psychiatric Hospital for 31 years. He loved spending time with his family, fly fishing and traveling.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Katie Kirkland; daughters, Heidi (Joe) and Heather (Brian); grandsons, Dakota and Jacob; granddaughters, Natalie and Courtney.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation has taken place and no public services are planned. Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
