Frederick H. Mayer

Frederick H. Mayer, age 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021.

Frederick began his career in commercial art at the M. O’Neil Company. He then became the Art Director of the A. Polsky Company and then advanced to Assistant Advertising Manager at Lawson Company and then worked in the Goodyear Corporate Advertising Department. Frederick and his business partners then began their own advertising agency. Frederick was recognized as an expert on corporate identification programs and was the recipient of numerous awards. He enjoyed classic cars and loved the holidays. Frederick loved to decorate for Christmas with an elaborate light display for about 50 years at his home on Broad Boulevard. He was also known to put on a beautiful firework display at Lake Milton. He was a lover of all animals, especially cats! Frederick will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Frederick was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Marjorie (nee Hebden) Mayer, and his infant sister, Suzanne.

He is survived by his sister, Irene Mayer; and cousin, William (Delphine) Mayer.

Friends may call from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM on Monday, November 29, 2021 at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Interment immediately following in Chestnut Hill Memorial Park at 12:15 PM.

Memorial contributions in Frederick’s name may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
