Peggy E. Baldwin (Hermann, nee Dunaway), 85, passed away at home on January 1, 2024. Peggy was born and lived most of her life in Akron. For 35 years, she lived in the first log house ever built within the city limits. She served as the bookkeeper at the Akron Jewish Center for 25 years, but her favorite job was being a loving grandmother and great grandmother. Her family was the most important part of her life. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Peggy was preceded in death by her husbands, James Hermann and Donald Baldwin; and her parents, James and Bertha Dunaway; and four older brothers. She is survived by daughter, Kim (John) Tuesday and grandchildren, Allison (Nick), Andrew (Carrie); and great-grandchildren Anderson, Elaina, Lincoln, Alex and Cohen; sons, Michael Hermann and Mark (Terri) Hermann, and grandchildren, Brittany (Chris), Harper, and Cameron. She is also survived by very special niece, Carol (Ralph) Duff; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Sincere thanks to the staff at Cleveland Clinic Hospice and especially to Dr. Jeffrey Kile for the fantastic care provided to Peggy.
Memorial service 12:00 P.M. MONDAY January 8th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N Miller Road. Family and friends may call two hours prior to the service. The family will host a Celebration of Life at St. George Fellowship Centre immediately following the service. Private interment at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Akron-Canton Regional Foodbank , 350 Opportunity Pkwy Akron, OH 44307.
