We are looking for individuals who are driven by integrity and share in our mission to help families achieve peace of mind—while providing the highest levels of service.

Job Summary:

  • Perform embalming and basic care of deceased as required.
  • Oversee the placement of deceased persons and check cosmetics and overall appearance of each. 
  • Make arrangements with families.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate funerals, burials, and cremations, arranging for details like time and place of services.
  • Lead funeral ceremonies 
  • Communicate with families each day. 
  • Promote Billow's in the community through active participation in a community service organization as well as additional partnerships throughout the community. 
  • Promote culture and company vision.
  • Work with owner to promote company culture and vision.

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ Years total work experience
  • Licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer; State of Ohio
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent management organizational skills
  • Skilled embalmer
  • Knowledge of funeral merchandising
  • Knowledge of cemetery regulations
  • Knowledge of crematory & cremation regulations
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to multi-task within job responsibilities
  • Basic computer and audio/visual skills
  • Participation in a community service organization
  • Team player with a can-do, "find a way" attitude

Education:

  • Mortuary Science Degree
  • Completed Accredited Apprenticeship Program
