Cremation

Cremation Services

There are many reasons, but perhaps the most important factor is that The Billow Funeral Homes & Crematory operates a crematory on our premises. This means your loved one will never leave our facility. It also means that each step of the cremation process is handled by one of our fully-licensed and certified cremation professionals. And, should you wish to witness the cremation, you will be able to do so.

A Trusted Cremation

While some funeral homes advertise that they offer "cremation services", most subcontract this sensitive process to distant, off-site industrial crematories. By operating our own state-of-the art cremation facility, we offer you and your family a priceless commodity – something other funeral homes cannot provide – true peace-of-mind.

  • Our professionals adhere to a strict procedure which always involves two staff members in every cremation process.
  • Our state-of-the-art equipment is maintained at the highest possible standards and is environmentally safe.
  • Our cremation professionals are certified by the Cremation Association of North America, and adhere to a strict Code of Ethics.

You have our assurance that The Billow Funeral Homes & Crematory is the most appropriate cremation provider for your family. We are committed to transparency in cremation operations, and invite you to request a tour of our facility. Call us today at (330) 867-4141 to explore our cremation services.

Permanent Memorialization

Keeping an Urn at Home

This is a common choice and families can select the perfect urn for their loved one.  A more permanent resting place may be selected later.

Placing the Urn in a Columbarium (niche)

Many families find comfort in having a final, permanent resting place they can visit. We will assist your family in selecting an urn that will fit in the niche space.

Burying the Urn

Similar to a casket, the in-ground burial of the urn allows for a final, permanent resting place.  We offer several urns suitable for burial directly in the ground, but we also have urn vaults available.

Scattering the Cremated Remains

Some families find comfort scattering the cremated remains in a place that was special to their loved one.  We offer several urns suited for scattering.
